The University of Azad and Kashmir, UAJK, has executed a new dress code policy stopping students from wearing jeans and t-shirts on campus. This initiative, which emphasized preserving the dignity and sanctity of the institution, was drafted in a circular issued on the 29th of August, which recently appeared in front of public attention.
The circular mandates that both staff and students should stick to a dress code that is properly aligned with local cultural and religious values. For female students, it’s clearly instructed to wear a shalwar kameez dupatta or gown and then come into the campus. Male students should try to wear decent dress defined as dress pants and colored shirts or shalwar kameez.
