Sheheryar Munawar, Maheen’s relationship

Sheheryar Munawar has recently tended to the rumors about his own life, mostly regarding his relationship status and marriage speculations. In a statement, Munawar emphasized the need for security and privacy, expressing that the matters concerning his engagement and individual choices are private and include his loved ones. He requested that the public and media regard their privacy during this time and expressed that he wouldn’t comment further on the issue.

“Alhamdulillah I’m thankful. I’m very grateful. I’m happy. Allah has been kind and the parents are happy,” Munawar shared in a new meeting on the FWhy Podcast with Frieha Altaf. “Exciting times are ahead, and I would request that everybody say a little prayer for us. I just feel, as I’ve mentioned previously, that I want this should be a very personal experience for both of us… and private.

Then again, in clips of an old interview that has gone viral, Munawar also reflected on cultural/societal issues. He discussed the emotional suppression and double guidelines imposed on Pakistani men from a young age. As per Munawar, boys are taught not to cry or express pain, which leads to emotional detachment, and then show abusive behavior in adulthood.

“When men are conditioned to hide their pain, they frequently become harsh and may contribute to domestic violence,” he explained. He pointed out that this emotional suppression begins in childhood and goes on into adulthood, where men are expected to be stoic and strong, even in challenging times.

Sheheryar also addressed the significant responsibilities put on men, which, as per him, prevents them from communicating their actual emotions and results in deep-seated issues.

“Men are troubled with numerous responsibilities and are many times denied the opportunity to express their feelings, which prompts personality issues,” he noted.

Moreover, Munawar addressed the less-talked-about issue of ladies oppressing men. He expressed that the abuse men face from ladies, though often unspoken, is serious and in some cases unbelievable.

“There are many examples of ladies oppressing men in manners that are rarely discussed,” he commented.
