The two nations’ collaboration in the sphere of IT and telecommunication was discussed on Tuesday by Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, and Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Pakistan’s interest in fortifying telecom and IT connections with Kazakhstan was conveyed by the minister during the meeting.
According to a news release, she suggested creating a cooperative working group between the two nations to promote communication between tech companies on both sides.
Shaza Fatima further recommended that Pakistan and Kazakhstan start technology transfer and IT expert exchange programmes.
She asked IT companies in Kazakhstan to explore investing in this attractive sector by highlighting the investment opportunities in Pakistan’s IT and telecom industry.
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin emphasised that the two nations’ relations in this area would continue to grow and reaffirmed his nation’s commitment to further up collaboration with Pakistan in the IT and telecom sectors.

Aisha Humera Moriani, the Additional Secretary of MoITT, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, the Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), and Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi, the DG of International Coordination, also attended the meeting.
